Operations Analyst

Please do not apply if you do not have at least 1-2 years of experience in startups, operations, consulting, compliance, legal, and/or PE/VC.

SeedInvest is seeking an Analyst to join our Operations Team in New York, NY. Our organization runs extremely flat and we are looking for someone that can not only execute, but become a core member of our team and contribute to the mission, vision, and culture here at SeedInvest.

SeedInvest is a leading equity crowdfunding platform that provides investors with direct access to highly vetted, early-stage investment opportunities. SeedInvest boasts a rapidly growing network of 500,000+ investors and has deployed over $300 million into over 235 startups to-date across a wide range of sectors, stages, and geographies. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to a leading equity crowdfunding platform which is dramatically changing the way private companies raise capital.

We are looking for someone:

  • That is sincerely excited, passionate, and devoted to supporting startups and founders, democratizing venture capital, and SeedInvest (this is very important)
  • With a heavy personal emphasis on quality results and integrity of execution
  • With a strong bias for action (ideas alone are worth little)
  • With a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • That can listen intently and digest constant feedback, and be willing to give radically direct but respectful feedback
  • With an unending drive and a thirst to self-learn and self-improve
  • That constantly strives to be the best member of a high-performing team
  • That augments our culture and not simply fits in

You'll be expected to be very, very good at:

  • Project Management:
    • Quarterbacking execution of company onboarding and fundraise preparation, including cross-functional deal team management and the setting and managing of timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables throughout the process
    • Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight timelines
    • Defining and iterating on operational processes
  • Due Diligence:
    • Performing confirmatory due diligence on companies that have applied to raise on the platform
    • Conducting thorough reviews of company offering materials to comply with FINRA and SEC rules
  • Relationship Management:
    • Communicating, establishing and maintaining relationships, and working actively with entrepreneurs, third-party service providers, and people across the entire SeedInvest team

Minimum requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrated project management and timeline management skills
  • Prior experience with a startup, investment bank, law firm, or another regulated industry

Some extra credit we'd love to see:

  • J.D. or CPA experience
  • SIE, Series 82, and Series 63 licenses (if not already licensed, you must be prepared to take exams within 2-3 months of joining)
